Bohemia – located in the heart of Europe, the region is rich in culture, silver, and sprawling castles. The death of its beloved ruler, Emperor Charles IV, has plunged the kingdom into dark times: war, corruption, and discord are tearing this jewel of the Holy Roman Empire apart.
One of Charles' sons, Wenceslas, has inherited the crown. Unlike his father, Wenceslas is a naive, self-indulgent, unambitious monarch. His half-brother and King of Hungary, Sigismund the Red Fox, senses weakness in Wenceslas. Feigning good will, Sigismund travels to Bohemia and kidnaps his half-brother. With no king on the throne, Sigismund is now free to plunder Bohemia and seize its riches.
In the midst of this chaos, you're Henry, the son of a blacksmith. Your peaceful life is shattered when a mercenary raid, ordered by King Sigismund himself, burns your village to the ground. By bittersweet fortune, you are one of the few survivors of this massacre.
Without a home, family, or future you end up in the service of Lord Radzig Kobyla, who is forming a resistance against the invasion. Fate drags you into this bloody conflict and shoves you into a raging civil war, where you help fight for the future of Bohemia.
Redeem your past and emerge a hero!
A Short Guide to Acquire A House and Land.
Although many beleive you can not get a real Home and land in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you actually can. This land comes with the title of Huntsman, so you will be able to hunt for animals without getting in trouble with the law, even though it is bugged and still marks your meat as stolen. If no other reason, having your own house atop of a hill overlooking the beautiful castle of Talmberg is a great place to roleplay in this fanasticly immersive RPG game.
Kingdom Don’t-Come: Won’t-Deliverance. This is an example of the classic Jebaited tactic of 2013; lure in with a great promise, then pull the proverbial carpet out from under their feet. Mild Spoilers Ahead and How to Backup Save File Incase Corruption
First, I have to say there will technically be spoilers but nothing huge. Also, the quest is known to be bugged, so be sure to have a save before you start the quest that you are willing to go back to in case something happens. I also recommend you backup your save by going to your users folder and then to gamesaves, and inside kingdomcom you will find the folder Playline0.
- …UsersYourNickSaved Gameskingdomcomesaves
Copy and paste this file into a safe folder so that way if your game gets corrupted, you will not have to start over completely. The quest specifically will probably not corrupt your save, but the game in general is known to corrupt saves by itself for no apparent reason so I thought this would be a good thing to teach you anyway.
Requirements
As far as I know, your main level must be at least level 10, and you must be at a certain point in the story – You have to kill Runt.
The Three Quests
Please note this is only how I succeeded in this mission. I’m aware there are other methods, but my method is the one I used to get my land and become the Master Huntsman of Talmberg (property and all).
First you must speak to the innkeeper in the outside village of Talmberg. There you will speak to him and receive a quest called Hare Hunt. He will tell you about a recent problem with Poachers and will ask you to see if anyone knows anything about it. Through speaking to him, he will mention the Innkeeper at the Glade.
From there, go to the Glade and speak to the innkeeper. At that point you will receive another quest called Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing. During this quest you must prove yourself that you can be trusted. Once you do the small tasks, you will meet their ex-nobleman poaching leader. During a cutscene shortly after, Talmberg soldiers will attack your group. The leader will ask you who to side with, and you must fight along side the poachers, which means killing the guards. This did not affect my reputation.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 News
Just do the quest from there and you will soon after get the third and final quest where you must kidnap the Huntsman’s wife to force him into signing a confession. Upon completion, Sir Davish will reward you with the position of Master Huntsman to replace the old one, and you acquire his property and duties.
So that is it. I don’t go too much into detail about the quest itself because I did not want to spoil much of it as it is actually a very fun quest in my own opinion. However, if you follow the specific choices I gave you, you will most likely succeed in getting the property. Again, it is known to be buggy. If your game bugs and you can not finish the quest, try looking up fixes.
